Friends are the family we choose for ourselves. I call them Framily.
As I begin another immediate family move, I am grateful for the love and support of my friends. I’ve heard nice comments, supportive messages, and lovely and generous invitations. Friends add richness and joy to my life. In this new place, I have to find them. As I like to say, “People are faces until they’re your friends.”
Another great resource for change, moving, exploring is social media: A way I can ‘meet’ new friends, reconnect with people from my past, and find new places in the city. Since I haven’t lived here since 1980, it’s all new to me.
Sharing, venting, exploring is better/easier with good, trusting friends.
