Keeping the faith

Good morning; Good afternoon; Good night. Those are the three greetings as of late. We are online and on the phone saying these greetings. No hugs, no touching, no hand-shaking. Social distancing.

What I see online is the BEST of humanity: singing from balconies, applauding for the essential workers, funny memes, dancing families. Keep that coming!

As a generally happy person, I, too, am struggling with this ‘stay in place’ lifestyle. I know it’s hard, challenging, stifling, mind-shaking to stay indoors all day, every day. I, too, am feeling the effects. I look out our non-opening windows at today’s sunshine and blue sky. I so wish I could go out in it.

To those who need a BIG virtual hug, here it is!

Through ALL times, we are together. We are friends. We are each other’s support system. Have faith. This, too, shall pass. We will come out of this.

I’ve documented my COVID-19  journey here as best I can to remind myself why I’m staying indoors and of the wondrous and countless things I have to be grateful for. This is hard for me, an extrovert, a cyclist, a hiker, a group yoga teacher, a get-out-there-and-explore-the-city person, but I have hope and faith, and I know I’m doing the right thing, and you are too.

Keep the faith.

Aloha🌺,

Denise
