My gratitude cup runneth over

Hau’oli lā ho’omaika’i

As we cooked for our Thanksgiving lunch, I kept thinking, “Wow, I haven’t done all this preparing and cooking for a while. It’s a treat and an honor.”

Yesterday, my HH and I hosted our daughter Tara, my 87-year-old mom (who lives in memory care), and her friend, John for lunch. We made all the classics (minus the turkey 🤢) Gluten-free and colorful.

After a brief sit-down and chat over egg nog, we enjoyed the lunch that Mark and I assembled. Mom and John sang for us; Tara snapped photos between bites, and Mark and I were bustin’ buttons with glee, pride, and joy. We never know how many of these lunches we’ll have with the elders.

I hope all of you beautiful readers enjoyed a lovely day, filled with friends, family, food, and FUN.

Keep your gratitude cups full and your hearts light.

Aloha🌺,

Denise

Tara said it best: “I couldn’t be more thankful.”
