New yummy discovery

Last night, thanks to our dear friend Beth, we experienced a new yummy discovery: Happy Hour at Hibiki Sushi and bar in Deep Ellum. (https://hibiki-sushi-deep-ellum.business.site/) My HH and I walked the easy one-mile to the patioed restaurant on the FUN and busy Commerce Street. The food was awesome; the house’s hot sake was wonderful; our party of four was off the charts; and the icing on the sushi cake was our fantastic server, Ariel. She greeted us with menus, water, and a smile. Ariel served our food fresh, GLUTEN FREE options for me, as soon as the sushi chef prepared it. She wins for server of the day! When you go there, tell her I sent you!!

If you’re out and about and hungry, check out Hibiki Sushi. It was quiet around 5:15 pm, then at 5:45 pm, every table was filled with happy sushi eaters. FYI:

  • they have Tamari, the GF soy sauce
  • they have real crab meat in lieu of gluten-full crab stick

Pro tip: Be grateful when your friends find new eateries in your neighborhood. Google and Trip Advisor and Yelp are great, but there’s nothing like friends finding good food.
