Twenty-seven years ago today, we became parents. Our Emily was born in Baltimore, at The Johns Hopkins Hospital (where Mark worked), on a sunny day. She has continued to bring sunshine, smiles, and unconditional love into my heart and my life.
She loves dinosaurs and all living animals, cool art, F.R.I.E.N.D.S, and her families (ours and her sweetie’s).
Emily is smart and talented and oh-so-sweet. The world is a better place because she’s in it.
The song I sang to her is this: “Emily Paige, so cute, so fair. You’re the girl with all that red hair!”
On this, her 27th birthday, I wish her ALL the best. I am proud of the young woman she has become and proud of myself for raising her the best I could, of course, with her Dad.
