Taking it on; living a grand life

Here’s what I’ve taken on lately:

Terrific Tuesdays ~ I take my elderly mother out for lunch and some kind of outing. Yesterday we ate lunch at the Dallas Arboretum & Botanical Garden (https://www.dallasarboretum.org) then walked around (well, I pushed her in a wheelchair) to see the ZimSculpt exhibit of 100 sculptures (it’ll be there until August 8.)

Riding my bike daily ~ caveat: no riding when it’s raining, and it’s been raining a lot here.  I was surprise-gifted a very high-tech, studly-looking SENA (www.sena.com) bike helmet with integrated speakers and a microphone to wear whilst riding, in lieu of earbuds. This will ensure a safer ride.

This is my new SENA bike helmet!

Swimming in the cold water ~ It’s officially summer, but the weather and the pool water in our building haven’t got the memo. But Sunday, I asked my daughters to pull me into the chilly pool so I could swim with them. I know that’s good for me in many ways, most notably to be with my kids. Who wouldn’t want to swim with these darlings??? I’m taking on swimming after my rides, a la Michael Phelps, to kick up my metabolism.

Our darlings, Emily & Tara.

Finding FUN in routine activities makes everything more joyful. Take it on!

Stay well. Stay curious Have FUN every day!!
