Thanksgiving 2019 is in the books and photo albums.
No tryptophan as we didn’t have stuffing. Lots of yumminess though: cranberry sauce and turkey-a-la-MarkSchnitzer, Moroccan chicken tagine, sliced cranberries, smashed sweet potatoes and three pumpkin pies (1 regular & 2 GF) a-la-Denise, and green beans courtesy of Tara. We did eat a lot and Mark did fall asleep in his chair after dinner.
I missed Emily, but she sent a picture. She enjoyed the day with her ohana in Hawai’i:
Tara joined us from her dog-sitting gig:
I must admit I had some melancholy feelings throughout the day. I missed being surrounded by friends and family. I missed watching football. I missed the sunshine.
Today is a new day…for which I am thankful. Mark and Tara went off to work and I will work on putting away all the dishes we used yesterday. I’ll combat the gray, cold day with a hot yoga class. I’ll prepare for the next meal, adventure, and photo album. Nothing can steal my inner sunshine, thankfulness or happy.
