Adventures of an empty nester mom

Time’s a tickin’

Time’s a tickin’ away… It’s already the end of July!! Yikes!

As the days fly by, I realize we must all do our parts to HAVE FUN EVERY DAY.

So, I’ve taken it upon myself to find interesting, FUN, socially distanced outdoor things to do to stay busy and learn my ‘new’ city. There are many lists of “Things to do in Dallas,” but none of them are comprehensive enough to include “What do to in Dallas during a pandemic when most buildings/museums/restaurants/bars/amusement parks/theatres/movies are closed.”

Here’s some of my list of finds:

  1. find cool murals (they’re everywhere) and snap a selfie
  2. bike ride
  3. walk along the many trails (some are paved, some are gravel)
  4. take a drive (RTT (road trip Tuesday))
  5. find a rooftop establishment and eat/drink/lounge
  6. swim in a pool
  7. read
  8. phone a friend
  9. find humor in a sign
This sign has “stick-up hair!”

Happy Wednesday! Keep having FUN!

Stay well. Stay safe. Stay positive.

I adore my family and friends, meeting new people, travel, food (Gluten-Free please), and belly-laughing. My mantra is HAVE FUN EVERY DAY. I've lived in five US states and two foreign countries. I am grateful, blessed and adventurous. I like to do NDBs (never done before.) I enjoy sharing my creative Empty Nester life.
